AMOCO Mascots
Meet ACE and Abe
During my time at AMOCO FCU, I was tasked with increasing exposure and awareness to AMOCO's most obscure branding element: their mascots.
ACE and Abe are two sides of the same coin, so to speak. ACE, a personified ATM machine, represents AMOCO's futuristic outlook and integration with technology to provide convenient banking solutions. Abe, on the other hand, is a nod to their historic dedication to the local communities AMOCO serves and is a reminder to their loyal members that they will always come first.
ACE and Abe are most commonly associated with AMOCO's kids club A-ZONE, but were underutilized due to a lack of renders that could be used on marketing and promotional material.
As such, I redesigned ACE and Abe as cute cartoon characters that would appeal to A-ZONE members. I was also responsible for creating fun and engaging materials such as coloring/activity sheets and stickers. These materials increased ACE and Abe's exposure by a substantial amount. They are now becoming increasingly recognizable elements of the A-ZONE brand, as well as AMOCO's brand overall.
